In this age of technology, you can find just about anything, ABOUT anything on the internet. Some say this is the only reliable source to get what you are looking for…others would disagree. The thing to keep in mind is , that while you have access to just about everything, who is regulating the information? The answer …..no one!!

The world wide web has opened up the information highway so to speak. It is available for any one person to post whatever they feel is worth sharing, however the information is not always accurate.

When it comes to doing ‘research’ on central air conditioning, your best bet is to talk to an actual licensed, regulated HVAC installer. The HVAC business is governed by the Regulatory Body of Technical Standards and Safety Institute…watchdogs if you will.

Some tips on picking the right installer for your job:

1. Are they a member and in good standing with the BBB?
2. Are they a member in good standing of HRAI…Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute?
3. Do they have the stamp of the TSSA?
4. Are they registered with the ESA….Electrical Safety Association?

Remember…credible information comes from credible sources.
